Entre Nous Femmes Housing Society

Entre Nous Femmes Housing Society is a charitable, not-for-profit housing organization that began forty years ago by three single mothers who wanted to create more affordable housing for families like theirs. 

The founders—April English, Leslie Stern, and Mia Cross—were single mothers who, with a modest $1,000 grant and a fierce commitment, created a housing organization dedicated to women supporting women. 

As one of Canada’s first women-led community housing organizations, ENF focuses on the unique needs of women, gender-diverse groups, single-parent families, seniors, people with disabilities, and other equity-deserving groups. Today, ENF continues to develop new affordable rental housing and manage 13 properties with over 500 affordable rental homes across Metro Vancouver, serving more than 1200 diverse community members.
